Brought my car in for an O2 Sensor code. on my first trip they replaced all 4 sensors. this fix lasted for about 78 miles before I started blowing the same code again. brought back and they replaced the drivers side rear, again about 50-70 miles before it went off again. brought it in a 3rd time and they stated they put the wrong part number in. Same result same code after 50 miles. Brought back in and they stated that a hose had been burned to do with emissions and that could trigger my code on an o2 sensor and it would cost me around another 500 bucks. skeptically, I approved the work and the same thing happened at around 15 miles. same code. I called complete and the service manager was like, "you probably have bad catalytic converters", "we should look at that next" even though my cats were brand new. So, life happened and the car was parked for a while and I put it up on jack stands and I was going to replace the sensor with an AC Delco OEM part. I got under the car and saw that the o2 sensor wasn't even connected to the harness. I put in the OEM part and "Connected" the sensor and got the same results so I took the car to the local auto electrical shop and in very little time they were able to identify a short in the system which they fixed for about 10% of what complete had charged me for all those visits. I will never bring any of my cars to these guys again, beware! All they needed to do was a simple electrical check on the harness to understand this wasn't an o2 sensor problem, they were just flailing about replacing anything and everything without using proper diagnosis.
Hi Stu, Thank you for your review. I appreciate you getting back to us about the problem. I apologize for the inconvenience. Please bring us the receipts and the diagnosis from the other shop and we will gladly reimburse you if those parts were not needed. I will have the Manager reach out to you and resolve the issue. Thank you for your understanding.
